Who we are
KPop Finder is an independent fan project. It has no account system, no newsletter and no ads.
What we collect
Nothing about you. There is no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising tracker and no tracking cookie on this site.
What stays on your device
Your K-dex (the groups you opened or got from the quiz), your daily quiz streak, your duel scores and your light or night mode choice are saved in your browser (localStorage), on your device only. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. This storage only exists to make those features work, so no consent banner is needed. You can erase it with the reset button on the home page or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Hosting and logs
The site is served from a server in a hosting provider's data center. Like any web server, it may keep standard technical logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security and operation. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
Videos (YouTube)
Videos are not loaded when you open a page. Only if you click the play button, a YouTube player (in its privacy-enhanced mode) is loaded from YouTube. YouTube/Google then receives technical data such as your IP address and may set cookies, under their own privacy policy. If you never click, nothing is sent to them.
Music player (Spotify)
Like videos, the Spotify player is only loaded if you click the button on a group page. Spotify then receives technical data such as your IP address and may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
Outside links
Links to YouTube, Spotify, Amazon and YesAsia take you to their sites. Once you click, their own privacy policy and cookies apply. Amazon and YesAsia links are affiliate links: they may set a tracking cookie on their site so that a purchase can be credited to us, at no extra cost to you. See the affiliate disclosure.
Fonts
Fonts are hosted on this site. We do not call Google Fonts or any other font service.
Your rights
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing to access or delete on our side. If you have a question, or you think something here is wrong, write to us. You can also contact your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
